Robert's Bio
In a nutshell, Robert is a developer of things; ideas, teams, concepts and business. Balancing this development instinct, his passion also finds a home in pragmatic deconstruction; solving problems for interconnected systems.
Focused as a business technologist and occasionally a security philosopher, Robert currently helms a Chief Information Security Officer position using his 25+ years experience in security, technology development & architecture to enable business, protect information and do good (prevent evil).
Over the years, Robert has filed technology patents ranging from biometric authentication systems, digital certificate management, social game engines and regulatory compliance data mining systems.
Robert is still active in a diverse range of projects covering security concept development, security research, social network structures and now learning the deeper international legal issues surrounding all these areas.
Ian's Bio
Ian Thornton-Trump CD is an ITIL certified IT professional with 30 years of experience in IT security and information technology.
From 1989 to 1992, Ian served with the Canadian Forces (CF), Military Intelligence Branch; in 2002, he joined the CF Military Police Reserves and retired as a Public Affairs Officer in 2013. After a year with the RCMP as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst, Ian worked as a cyber security analyst/consultant for multi-national insurance, banking, and regional health care verticals.
With a deep background in cyber threat intelligence Ian was previously the CISO for Cyjax Ltd., a UK based threat intelligence provider to enterprise customers. As a CISO at Inversion6 Ian’s role is to spearhead the efforts to duplicate the success of Inversion6 USA by offering fractional CISO and advanced cyber security solutions in the UK and EU markets.
Ian has deep experience with the threats facing small, medium and enterprise businesses. His research and dynamic speaking style have made him a sought-after cyber security consultant specialising in building security operations providing services as a vCISO and sharing his passion for building effective threat intelligence programs for small, medium, and enterprise organisations.
Kelly's Bio
Having started her career within the banking industry, Kelly became increasingly interested in risk and fraud analysis, leading to a change of direction 10 years ago to cyber security.
One of her key passions is helping individuals to realise why they are a target, how they can be targeted, and the small but significant steps they can take to protect themselves and their families. She currently works as a group manager for an international organization primarily focusing on data security, security awareness training and incident response.
George's Bio
Enticed by the Sony/PlayStation hack in 2011, George embarked on a journey into the world of IT and cybersecurity, driven by a fascination for how things worked and the high-stakes nature of the field.
Currently serving as a Cyber Security Specialist in the maritime manufacturing industry, George is responsible for identifying cyber weaknesses and risks, and implementing controls to mitigate those threats where appropriate.
Vlad's Bio
Vlad is an experienced entrepreneur with a track record of building solutions across diverse jurisdictions and industries. As a co-founder of multiple ventures, from regtech and IT concierge services to platforms for asynchronous delivery of digital knowledge he focuses on solving complex corporate challenges through interactivity and gamification.
A passionate supporter of small business ecosystems, Vlad dedicates much of his free time to engaging with local entrepreneurs and understanding the digital challenges they face. His latest venture embodies this vision to develop a cost-effective cybersecurity and compliance package designed to for micro-enterprises.
As a parent, Vlad has become deeply involved in issues affecting families in the digital age, including cyberbullying, children’s online safety, and strengthening cybersecurity awareness at home.
Alexandra's Bio
Alexandra is a Consulting Director at Deloitte Cayman Islands, where she leverages over 20 years of technology experience and 15 years of Deloitte Consulting expertise to help clients across industries address their cyber and technology needs.
Alexandra is passionate about empowering organisations and individuals to establish effective governance frameworks, improve efficiency, stay secure, and protect their data and assets in the digital era. She has successfully led and delivered complex and high-impact projects in areas such as cybersecurity strategy and governance, cyber incident response, data protection, system implementation, data analytics, and crisis management.
Alexandra is a frequent speaker and thought leader on cyber and digital ethics topics within the Cayman Islands and the Caribbean region. She leads the AI in Cybersecurity Committee of the Cayman Islands National Cyber Security Association (CI-NSCA). As a mother of two young children, Alexandra has a keen interest and deep understanding of the importance of being cyber safe as a family.
Alexandra has a Ph.D. in Information Assurance and Security and a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) (International Association of Privacy Professionals), and Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Alexandra also obtained a Quantum Computing Fundamentals certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Digital Security and Human Rights certificate from Amnesty International.
